PSC was founded 54 years ago as the Perry-Spencer Rural Telephone Cooperative to provide phone service to six rural counties. Today, the coop has 6,500 access lines in a 570 square mile area. PSC launched IPTV more than two years ago over a hybrid fiber-coax system.
PSC is one of eight small telcos in the state the belongs to Indiana Video Networks, an alliance formed for the delivery of video-on-demand through ViewNow of Bend, Ore. Some offer video through cable; at least one, Craigville Telephone Co., is in the process of launching IPTV.
