Etisalat - Watch List 2009

Etisalat: The Middle East, like Latin America, is a tremendously promising region where it is tough to pick a single representative. I'll take Etisalat, from the United Arab Emirates, in part because its recent move to buy a 16.6 percent stake in software developer SoftAtHome shows a lot of spunk and puts Etisalat in partnership with experienced IPTV carrier Orange as the UAE telco looks to expand throughout its own region. As with Telefonica del Sur, this pick won't please everyone, and I'm open to hearing alternatives.
