Hancock was created in 1950 from the combination of five telephone companies established between 1895 and 1903, each with 25 lines or fewer. It now maintains 8,500 access lines. IPTV was launched in April 2005 on a SkyStream headend, Amino set-tops and Minerva middleware. Hancock’s been building out fiber-to-the-home since 2002, and is already contemplating the move to MPEG-4.
