Actiontec announces HPNA, MoCA home theater adapters

Actiontec Electronics has announced MoCA and HomePNA Ethernet network adapters that will enable households that already have the coaxial cable-based IPTV or cable TV to extend their broadband Internet connectivity to other home theater elements and entertainment devices. The adapters give CEDIA and custom installation professionals more options for wiring home theater environments. The adapters also position both HPNA and MoCA more competitively against wireless options that are finding increasing acceptance. 

Actiontec partnered with Entropic Communications on the MoCA adapter and with CopperGate Communications on the HPNA solution.
