ATIS develops OSS/BSS requirements

Billing, of course, is an issue on the minds of everyone in the IPTV value chain. ATIS (Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions) CIO Council has developed a new set of requirements that address the specific impacts to OSS/BSS service providers will face once they introduce IPTV services. The requirements cover:

• The need for an OSS/BSS architecture standard
• A standard for the ordering framework and APIs necessary to support end-user order for IPTV
• A directive to study the various aspects of CPM transactional activities and their interactions with OSS/BSS
