Cablevision says it'll bring cable programming to the iPad for its subscribers and also is in the testing and verification stage of technology that will allow Cablevision users to view Web content on their televisions, a product that will launch by the end of the year.

The iPad offering will only be available in the subscriber's residence, the MSO said, unlike other TV Everywhere applications that are being developed. But, said COO Tom Rutledge during the company's earnings call, "When you look at an iPad, and you are in a Cablevision household, you'll be able to get every service we provide--VoD, broadcast television, all of our expanded basic services. Everything that is part of our cable television service will display on an IP device."

Rutledge also said Cablevision, like Time Warner and Comcast, is developing a program guide to run on iPads, iPhones and Android devices.
