Canal Digital selects ADB's hybrid set-top box

Nordic digital cable company Canal Digital has tapped Advanced Digital Broadcast to supply a hybrid Digital Video Recorder, pre-integrated with its Carbo user interface to create an enhanced consumer TV experience for its subscribers. Users will be able to quickly and easily access Canal's broad range of high definition channels and interactive applications via ADB's Carbo interface.

Carbo, which already is deployed with a number of European pay TV operators, offers fast channel change, and clear, simple menus. Instead of navigating through the traditional multi-layer menus, users quickly reach their desired application with an intuitive carousel of icons.
