Chunghwa Telecom gets personal with BigBand

Taiwanese telco Chunghwa Telecom has become the first large international telco to deploy BigBand Networks' Media Services Platform, a system the vendor announced late last year that's capable of advanced advertising and other personalized media services. Chunghwa Telecom will use the system for advertising insertion initiatives targeted at its customer base of about 700,000 IPTV and video subscribers.
