Cox launches TV Everywhere beta

Six months later than originally anticipated, Cox has launched a test of a TV Everywhere platform that includes access to TNT, TBS, truTV and HBO Go; it said a broader rollout will occur in 1Q2011.

The test provides customers of some affiliates access to episodes 24 hours after they air, reported Multichannel News, including The Closer, Southland and Men of a Certain Age, Conan, House of Payne, Meet the Browns and Lopez Tonight.

Comcast, Verizon FiOS and Dish Network also provide authenticated access to TNT and TBS programming, with Time Warner Cable still saying it plans to test the waters with TBS and TNT in the future.
