Falcon Broadband has inked a deal with Verimatrix for its video content authority system (VCAS). VCAS was designed for two-way and hybrid networks and includes cryptographic and e-commerce technologies proven on the Internet, including PKI and X.509 certificates. VCAS encrypts and authenticates devices and systems within media delivery networks in order to identify security breaches and unauthorized network users. Falcon intends to launch its IPTV service in Q2 of 2007, once it has completed its dedicated fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) IP network in the Colorado market place.
