Infonetics: Q2 equipment market hits $1.2B

Infonetics Research, in its latest quarterly scan of the global IPTV and cable video equipment sector, says that gear sales hit $1.2 billion during the second quarter. That figure is a 15 percent increase from the first quarter of this year. Telco IPTV success is feeding the need for more equipment, but so are recent moves by cable TV companies to offer video-on-demand and other new services, according to Infonetics.
