Tools

Portland, Ore.-based telco Integra Telecom is getting set to launch an IPTV service in the Prior Lake, Minn., area, after earning a cable franchise agreement from local officials. Integra, which has CLEC operations in several Western states, but is the ILEC in Prior Lake, said the town will be its first IPTV market.

In a press release, Dave Kunde, senior vice president and general manager of Integra Telecom's ILEC operations, said, "We've been evaluating opportunities to provide video services to our residential and business customers for several years and believe that the market is ripe for this release." Integra is targeting later this year for the service launch.
