Itaas licenses EBIF from TVWorks

Itaas has worked out an agreement to license an Enhanced TV Binary Interchange Format engine from TVWorks, a firm owned by Comcast that was once a joint venture with fellow cable TV company Cox Communications. The agreement, announced at The Cable Show in Washington, D.C. this week, could leader to faster and broader deployment of EBIF by cable Tv companies, according to Light Reading's Cable Digital News. EBIF activity and interactive TV activity in general has been picking up recently among the cable TV firms.
