ITU consents to IPTV content discovery standard

The latest news out of the International Telecommunications Union's IPTV Focus Group is that the agency has given consent approval to ITU-T H.770, a standard supporting how customers can find and subscribe to content coming from a variety of different service providers. That capability could help bring IPTV services closer to the vision of personalized and customized content packages for their customers.
