KIT digital acquires Visual Connection

KIT digital, a former online video provider that has shifted its focus to supporting IPTV, has acquired content solution and software vendor Visual Connection for $2.5 million in cash, with the potential for another $7.5 million in stock to be paid if performance goals are met.

Visual Connection works with broadcasters, but also telecom companies in the IPTV sector, offering video solutions such as content digitization, localization and IP-based editing, storage, video players and content streaming. It also helps a variety of client types set up digital network operations centers.
