LR report examines IPTV STB sector

Light Reading has a new special report on the IPTV set-top box sector, one portion of a broader market that has been getting much attention over the last half year or so as alternative TV networks and offerings continue to evolve at a rapid pace. The multi-part report explains what constitutes an IPTV STB, and what makes it different from other STB devices, as well as surveying the landscape of vendors that offer IPTV STBs. That landscaope has been changing quickly through recent consolidation moves, with STB vendors buying one another, and developers of middleware consolidating as well.
