MTS Allstream connects with 2Wire

Canadian telco TV leader MTS Allstream is deploying 2Wire's HomePortal intelligent gateways as it expands its MTS TV in more parts of Manitoba, Canada. The vendor's gateway supports bundled TV, Internet, phone, home security, automation and other capabilities over broadband connections such as VDSL2 and a variety of home networking options.

That bundled approach is part of MTS Allstream's future plans, the telco said in a statement. The deployment has begun in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, and will extend through Winnipeg and Brandon this year.
