The digital TV deadline is still more than a month away, but about 3.5 million U.S. households still are classified as "completely unready" for the transition, according to Nielsen's National People Meter research. That translates to about 3.1 percent of U.S. TV households, and though perhaps a bigger number than some might expect, the percentage has been heading steadily downward since January.

How much of this is due to ignorance and how much due to pure procrastination? That's not clear, but we'll bet the "completely unready" number doesn't get down to zero by the June 12 deadline.
