Prime Time for Salt Lake City means MPEG-4

Tools

Prime Time Communications, a service provider with more than 10,000 customers in Utah and other states, has upgraded its 3,800 customers in the Salt Lake City area to MPEG-4 and HDTV. The customers who received the upgrade formerly were customers of Utah-based ISP Mstar, which Prime Time Communications acquired in May.

The service provider cited a Minerva Networks middleware software upgrade and the use of Amino Technologies' AmiNET130 and AmiNET530 HD set-tops as instrumental to the upgrade project. Prime Time also uses gear from Alcatel-Lucent and Calix.
