Q3 subscriber numbers on the way

AT&T will report third quarter earnings this Thursday, Oct. 22, and Verizon Communications is scheduled to unveil its quarterly results next Monday, Oct. 25. As usual, both telcos' results will be eyed closer for trends among their growing TV offerings. Some reports have suggested that AT&T will post a third-quarter U-verse TV subscriber gain in the neighborhood of 250,000. That would be about in line with the carrier's second quarter, in which it added 248,000 TV customers.

Both AT&T and Verizon have continued to add new markets, and both telcos received high marks in the JD Power TV Customer Satisfaction survey unveiled earlier this month.
