Report: Dirty tricks in the cable vs. telco war

The New York Times has an almost humorous article that quotes Qwest employees alleging that cable MSO Cox instructs its installation engineers to "make it as tough for Qwest to win back the customer as possible." Qwest argues that Cox is leaving wires exposed and cables ungrounded as well as leaving holes unfilled, which in one case, resulted in hornets building a nest. You really have to marvel at the elaborateness of it all. Cox holds that the sloppy installation repercussions are the work of Qwest's engineers.
