AT&T gains 284,000 TV customers

AT&T said during its first quarter earnings report Wednesday that it gained about 284,000 customers for its U-verse TV service during the quarter, pushing the offering's total customer base beyond 1.32 million. The quarterly figure was about 20,000 more customers than U-verse TV collected in the previous quarter, and 136,000 more than it added during the first quarter last year. Meanwhile, the company now has a total of 3.5 million TV customers overall, when its 2.2 million take from its satellite TV resale offering is brought into the mix.
