AT&T's (NYSE: T) U-verse is expanding. The telco's IPTV platform is now available on iPhone's through the U-verse Mobile app that allows U-verse subscribers to download and watch select TV content on their mobile, as well as browse the U-verse TV program guide, view program descriptions, schedule and manage DVR recordings. The app also adds the ability to download available episodes over any Wi-Fi connection, and watch them in full-screen mode on your iPhone from anywhere. More than 100,000 U-verse TV customers use the Web and Mobile Remote Access apps every month.

"Our U-verse multi-screen promise is now a reality for millions of U-verse TV customers, with content available on U-verse TV, U-verse Online, and today, U-verse Mobile," said David Christopher, chief marketing officer, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. "No cable provider comes close to matching the cross-platform experience we're delivering today, and we'll continue to add unique features that further integrate these screens."

In addition to the iPhone app, the company said a BlackBerry app would follow soon.

U-verse just recorded its first $1 billion quarter for AT&T, and added 209,000 subscribers. In an interview with FierceIPTV, Jeff Weber, VP of U-verse and video products for the telco, said the company expected continued growth of the platform and said mobile access was a priority for the company.
