Where will Apple go without CEO Steve Jobs?

Can Apple be Apple without Steve Jobs? The co-founder and CEO of the computer maker this week announced he would be taking a leave of absence for medical reasons, his third since 2004 and, analysts worry, the most troublesome.

While Jobs said he will continue looking over Apple's collective shoulder during his leave, he's planning on retaining his CEO mantle, will his day-to-day absence cost the company the hip edge it's developed through recent launches of new products like the iPad, iPhone and iPod?
